Abe Naldjian
Young Abe had a deep passion that reached back as far as he could imagine: basketball. Running around on the playground with the roundball, even as early as 5th grade, defined much of his happiness. As fate (and a silly incident with his brother would have it), that happiness was temporarily fractured (along with his wrist). His fifth grade teacher, Mr. Risk (no relation to the Parker Brothers board game) took notice of his sad young student. He asked if Abe wouldn’t mind helping him in the classroom during recess. Abe agreed and quickly found a pleasant distraction and a new friend. Not only did Mr. Risk thank Abe for his help, at the end of the year Mr. Risk took Abe out to lunch and played basketball with him.
That’s just the kind of thing someone remembers and wants to pass along. So now Abe, proud graduate of UC Santa Barbara and soon to hold his master’s degree in education, is prepping to do just that. He wants to teach elementary -- specifically 5th grade. He’s a giver.
Also to this day, he’s still a hoops junkie.
“I’m kind of obsessed,” he admits.
But it’s not all that’s on his mind. He’s getting married in October 2008. As a matter of fact Denon & Doyle was booked as his and his fiancee’s DJ company before Abe started to work here. By hiring him to work with us, we simply returned the favor to a young man who has shown he definitely deserves it.
We’re givers too.

"I feel just awful that it has been 5 months since our wedding and I am just now getting an opportunity to write a review about the GREATEST DJ KNOWN TO MAN! I had to make sure [to] compliment Abe on the phenomenal job he did at our wedding. I am actually a Catering Sales Manager in Arizona and have been in the wedding industry for 7 years. I know the importance of a DJ and I know how they can make or break a wedding. Check off Abe for the MADE OUR WEDDING Colum. It was hard enough planning the wedding out of state but Denon and Doyle made us feel so comfortable. On the wedding day, Abe was on fire making sure everyone was happy, everyone got to hear their favorites, he even played my mother in law's song dedication twice because my father in law was in the bathroom the first time they played it. I didn't even tell Abe, he figured it out and played it again. People were on the dance floor all night, people were laughing uncontrollably at the games we played, my best friend wasn't going to have a DJ at her wedding until she saw Abe in action and has decided to book him. You know he must be amazing if guests at the wedding want to book him for their next event. I had a bunch of obscure songs that I wanted played and had a variety of CD's and random 70's requests and he took care of them all! The most important thing to me was when I was dancing, I looked up at Abe behind the DJ station and he was having a blast watching people dance and he was grooving and smiling. It is so great to see a vendor that enjoys what he does, I have worked with so many vendors who are just ready to clock in and clock out. Abe looked like he was having the time of his life, just like the rest of us!

"Bridgit and I just got back from our honeymoon! This past month has been awesome. Denon and Doyle are amazing.
First off, the photo booth was a hit with all the guests and it basically replaced the guest book. Second, the lights were set up perfectly and added a nice touch and created a great ambiance. Third, and most importantly, Abe was GREAT!!!! He read the crowd perfectly. He was able to incorporate our ethnic music and mix in our own special style. He did all this while keeping everyone on the dance floor. Many of our guests took note and commented on his skills. I would say Abe is cool, knows how to read a crowd, has a good understanding of what's appropriate and timely, and can interject at the right moments. He served as our MC and exceeded all expectations. Aside form his DJ mastery, Abe is a kind and accommodating person. He responded to emails quickly and provided helpful suggestions. Unique to our wedding situation, Abe was able to perfectly coordinate playing our first dance song right where Bridgit and I left off performing. Our performance was definitely a highlight of the night and Abe was critical in making it a success. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.
